Erik's statement

I started out on 3x Cello when I was 10 in the Canyon View Steel Band; about a year later I bought my own set of cellos. Since then Its been a wild run of pan awesomeness: I played the AZPAS solo/ensemble festival 4 years -- twice receiving the highest score in keyboard percussion-- I've played with professional groups, played in the Foothills Falcon Steel on Lead, and a bunch of other exciting stuff. Steel has been a biggest part of my musical career but I also played/marched tuba for about 6 years, and dabbled in some other instruments.

I am a sucker for classics on steel ( when they are played well), and loved playing parts of the Nutcracker in the Flacon Steel Band. A dream of mine for a long time has been to play Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Overture in a steel orchestra... it would be epic.
